Alicia D. Ammon, 34, of Mt. Carmel, went to be with her Lord on March 27, 2011 at Charlier Hospice Center in Evansville, Indiana. She was born December 3, 1976 in Spokane, Washington to Bill Swanson and Carolyn Ruth Bray.

A lifelong resident of Mt. Carmel, Alicia graduated from Mt. Carmel High School in 1995 and was very close to completing her studies at Wabash Valley College prior to her illness. She had been accepted into the physical therapy program at USI, and was very excited concerning her future.

Many will remember Alicia for her positive attitude, good work ethics and great sense of humor. Throughout her illness she remained positive and always tried to comfort and encouraged those who expressed their sorrow. Her faith in God grew stronger even as hope for recovery dimmed.

Besides spending time with her family, Alicia enjoyed singing. She loved to karaoke with her brother, Brandon and daughter, Brooklyn. She was honored to sing at several weddings. Alicia loved to fish and enjoyed vacations in the Smokey Mountains.

Alicia was the mother of three children, whom she dearly loved: Brooklyn Woods, 14; Austin Ammon, 8; and Savannah Ammon, 6 and two step-daughters, Tia Carrie and Sarah Ammon. They reside in Mt. Carmel with her former husband, best friend and primary caregiver, David Ammon.
