ALEXX KEATON BAUER, 18, Angola, passed away on Saturday, March 26, 2011, in Chilton County, Ala. as a result of an automobile accident. He was on his way home from Spring Break in Florida with his three friends. Born June 3, 1992, in Sylvania, Ohio, he was the son of Gregg R. and Lisa D. (Wilch) Bauer. He was a member of Calvary Lutheran Church, Angola. He was a senior at Angola High School. He was a Varsity Letterman in football, basketball and track. He was an elementary school mentor for Carlin Park Elementary and Hendry Park Elementary Schools. He was in the process of deciding where to play college football. He enjoyed hanging with his friends, fishing, sitting in the hot tub at the Fifers, cooking, ESPN and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Surviving are his parents, Gregg R. and Lisa D. (Wilch) Bauer of Angola; grandparents, N. Ruth Bauer of Defiance, Ohio and Fred and Joetta Wilch of Fostoria, Ohio; two brothers, Austin F. Bauer and Andy J. Bauer, both of Angola; aunts and uncles, Nancy and Gene Homan of Defiance, Ohio, Terry and Linda Bauer of Sidney, Ohio, Dave and Kyle Flory Bauer of Bryan, Ohio, Mark Bauer of Huron, Ohio, Brian and Jennette Wilch of Hudson, Ohio, and Nancy Harvey of Johnson City, Tenn.; many cousins; and special friend, Rachel Weber. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Robert E. Bauer. Service is 10 a.m. Saturday at Fairview Missionary Church, Angola. Visitation is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Trine University's Busse Athletic & Recreation Center. Pastor Donald E. Meyers and Pastor Angela Shannon officiating.
