GARLAND ARNOLD
Mr. Garland Arnold, 90, of Whitney died Wednesday, May 22, at a Whitney
nursing home. He was born October 10, 1911 in Hill County, son of Holly
Lewis and Avie Moss Arnold. He worked for the Katy Railroad for many years
and was a member of Whitney Church of Christ. He married Blanche Boyd
October 19, 1937. He was preceded in death by one sister and five brothers.
Survivors include: his wife; three children and their spouses, Carol and
Billy Eubank and Vernon Aaron and Peggy Franks, all of Whitney and Joyce and
Edwin Davis of Marshall; one sister, Pearl Brown of Hillsboro; seven
grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren. Graveside services were held
at 3 p.m. Thursday, May 23, at Bethlehem Cemetery near Whitney with Bruce
Martin officiating.
