The Greenfield Vedette, January 27, 1921 -- MRS ELLA MORRIS - Ella Quarles, daughter of Thomas and Rebecca Quarles was born was born April 10, 1849, and passed away January 22, 1921; aged 71 years, 9 months and 11 days.
She was married to Mount E Morris in 1872. To this union one child was born, Albert G Morris, who preceded the mother several years, leaving his wife Mrs. Veda Morris of Everton and three grandchildren.
The husband passed away in 1912, very soon after the son, and the long strain of the care of her husband and the loss of her only child, caused her failing health, having been an invalid bedfast, for a number of years, and her last trouble was an attack of influenza.
Besides her grandchildren, she leaves a brother Doc Quarles of Washington, and two sisters, Mrs. Maggie Teffertiller of Colorado and Mrs. Jennie Ewell of Hillyard, Colorado, and a host of relatives and friends.
The deceased united with the Christian Church at Old Cave Spring about 43 years ago, and fought a good fight keeping the faith, dying triumphant in the faith of Christ. Funeral services were held at the Dadeville Christian Church on Sunday, January 23, and interment was made in the Masonic Cemetery. -- Mrs. SM Crank
