Cecilio J. Grano, age 62, a resident of Las Vegas, New Mexico passed away on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at his home. He was born in Maes, New Mexico on October 9, 1948 to the Margarita Grano. He was united in marriage to Marcia Montoya. He served in the United States Army as SP5 during the Vietnam War. He retired from the City of Las Vegas Housing where he was employed for 10 years in the Maintenance Dept. He is survived by his wife: Marcia C. Grano of the family home in Las Vegas, NM; daughter: Veronica Archuleta of El Paso, TX; mother: Margarita Grano-Romero of Las Vegas, NM; brothers and sisters: Rudy Grano, Luis Grano and wife Carmela all of Las Vegas, NM; Paul Romero and wife Geraldine and Eloy Romero, Jr. and wife Ruth all of Alb., NM; Abran Romero, Linda Esquibel and husband Salomon all of Las Vegas, NM; Lillian and husband Patrick of Denver, Colorado, Consuelo Ortiz and husband Dwight of Ft. Morgan, CO, Beatrice Gunther and husband Steve of Iowa and Eloisa Eldridge and husband Danny of Rio Rancho; brothers & sisters-in-law: Joseph Montoya of Canoncito, Ramon Montoya of Las Vegas, NM, Mary Ann Cruz and husband Mike of Las Cruces, Rita Sanchez of Las Vegas, NM, Cathy Montoya and partner Vincent Maes of Mora, NM, Elena Montoya and partner Carlos Maes and Elizabeth Montoya all of Las Vegas, NM; uncle: Ramon Grano and of Rocky Ford, CO;, aunts: Jessie Lopez of Rocky Ford, CO and Ursula Grano of Hobbs, NM; god-sons: Floyd Romero and Adonis Montoya; nephews and nieces: Marc Grano, Rudy Grano II and wife Samantha, Raul Grano, Christopher Grano, Sonia Martinez and husband Sam and Crystal Grano; numeorus other nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Rosary devotional services will be conducted on Saturday, March 26, 2011 at 11:00am at Our Lady of Sorrows Church and funeral services a immediately after the rosary with Father C.
