This memorial is to honor our great grandmother, Mehitable Crosby Nickerson.
Born November 29, 1816 in East Brewster, Grassy Nook, Barnstable County, Mass.
She was the youngest child of Daniel Crosby and Thankful Eldredge.
Her Grandparents were from the Cliff Pond Area.

When she and future husband Hezekiah announced their intention to marry on November 3, 1837, she gave her place of residence as Brewster, Mass. Hezekiah was living in Harwich. They were married November 14, 1837 by the Rev. James Bicknell.

Mehitable was of English and Native American descent, with the latter being on both sides of her family.
She and Hezekiah had the following children:

Joshua Nickerson 1845 – 1924

Mehitable passed away June 22, 1892, and is buried beside her husband Hezekiah. There used to be a small marker but it has seemingly disappeared.
