Chris was born in 1935 at his family's ranch in Terromonte, New Mexico and was raised in Las Vegas,NM. He attended Highlands University and played varsity baseball and basketball. He also played baseball with the Las Vegas Merchants. For the majority of his career, he worked for the State Department of Education in Santa Fe specializing in multi-cultural education and providing funding to to disadvantaged schools throughout the state. He volunteered for over 35 years with SER Jobs for Progress, a program that assists youth in getting through school and getting job training. After retirement, he lived in Las Vegas, NM.

Cristobal's parents were Secondino and Guadalupe Trujillo. He has a brother, Adam, and a sister, Maria. His older brother, Benito, died as an infant.

Cristobal's children are Michael Gallegos and Tanya and Timothy Trujillo. He has four granddaughters.

He was a thoughtful and generous man who always remembered birthdays and special occasions. Throughout his life he enjoyed golf and fishing and was a avid fan of the Las Vegas teams. He cared about his community and his culture and his friends.

He will be missed dearly, and he will always be with us.
