Mrs. Freda Mae Hook Cotton, 70, of Madisonville, KY passed away at 10:10 A.M., Wednesday, February 18, 2009 at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville.
She was born June 12, 1938, in Madisonville, KY to the late William Herman and Anna Mae Dexter Hook.
Mrs. Cotton was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church in Madisonville. She was a devoted wife and mother. In previous years she was employed at Whit's Laundry and Stoltz Dry Cleaning and was a certified sitter.
She is survived by her husband of 52 years, James Wallace "JW" Cotton of Anton; three sons, Darrel Watson of Nortonville; James Dale Cotton of Bremen; and Keith Cotton of Lexington, TN; three daughters, Judith Cotton Vickery of Anton; Nora Mae Cotton Jones of Princeton, KY; and Amanda Cotton Wright of Anton; step-mother, Marie Hook of Madisonville; two brothers, William "Pete" Hook of Anton and Don Hook of Madisonville; 22 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren and numerous family members and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 21, 2009, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home officiated by Bro. Ralph Martinez and assisted by Bro. Maurice Lisanby and Shaun Vickery. Burial will follow in Hicklin Cemetery in Anton.
Friends may call on Friday, February 20, 2009 from 4:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and after 8:00 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
