Clara W. Samuelson, 89, of Waco, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2011. Services will be 1 p.m. Saturday, March 26, at the First Lutheran Church of Waco, with the Rev. Paul Fiske officiating. Burial will follow at Old Rock Church near Cranfills Gap. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 25, at Wilkirson-Hatch-Bailey Garden Room.

Clara was born in Bosque County, Texas, to the late Wilhelm and Mithilda Wiese. She worked in the garment industry most of her life. She loved gardening, quilting, spending time with her family and especially spoiling her grandchildren. Clara was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran Church and a long-time member of First Lutheran Church in Waco. She had a deep abiding faith in her Savior that sustained her throughout her life.

She was preceded in death by 11 siblings.

She is survived by her daughter, Sheila Robertson and husband, Tom, of Robinson; son, Mike Samuelson and wife, Lucy, of Crawford; grandchildren, Chad Wyble and wife, Lora, Justin Robertson, Tammie Lopez and husband, Joe, Lara Robertson, and Michael Samuelson and wife, Rachael; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ernie Samuelson; and many other family members and friends.
