James Michael Beery January 14, 1930 - March 15, 2011 In loving memory of James Michael Beery, 81, who was born in Cozad, Nebraska to parents, James L. Beery and Marvel V. Bailey Beery on January 14, 1930. Traveling was a large part of his entire life, he loved venturing out and taking back roads to see where they led and was also an avid coin collector for years. James worked for the United States Postal service for 30 years and before that worked as a butcher for 15 years. James leaves to cherish in his memory, his wife, Leona Beery; sons, Wayne Beery, and James W. Beery; daughter, Joyce McDonald; grandchildren, Jeffery Harbour, Scott Harbour, Stacey Beery, Julie Harbour, Lauren Beery, Jacob Beery, Connor McDonald, and Colin McDonald; sisters, Yvonne and Winona; and numerous great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Marvel Beery; daughter, Janet Harbour; wife of 51 years, Ellen Beery; grandson, Wayne Beery, Jr.; granddaughter, Jennifer Beery; sister, Donna Beery; and best friend of 65 years, Don Montgomery. Graveside service will be held on Friday, March 25, 2011, at 2:30 p.m. with visitation on Thursday, March 24, 2011, from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Greenlawn Memorial Chapel, 3700 River Blvd. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Children's Ministry at Fairfax Assembly, 1408 Marion Drive.
