Herald Coaster, July 18, 1976:

Funeral services for Mrs. Amelia Moody Briscoe, 76, of Richmond, were held Friday afternoon from St. John's United Methodist Church in Richmond, with the Rev. Elmer Mayne and Rev. Lamar Clark officiating. Burial was in the Briscoe Family Cemetery under the direction of Garmany and Co. of Rosenberg.

Survivors include her husband, Andrew C. Briscoe of Richmond; daughter, Mrs. Balke Mahler of Richmond; sons, Andrew C. Briscoe Jr. of Rosenberg, Mason Briscoe II of Richmond, Bill Briscoe of Richmond, and Frank Briscoe of Houston; brother, W.I. Moody of Richmond; 14 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers include Lee Briscoe, Andrew Briscoe III, Charles Mahler, Bill Mahler, Buddy Mahler, Mason Briscoe III, Chip Briscoe, Monty Briscoe, Brian Briscoe, and Bobby Briscoe.
