Services for Lois Indiana Peden Barrett, of Lufkin, was held in the Gipson Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Sam Thomas and Rev. Don Thrasher officiating. Interment in Glendale Cemetery.
Mr. Barrett was born Oct. 9, 1898 in DeKalb, Kemper County, Mississippi and died August 17, 1997 in Lufkin. Mrs. Barrett was the retired co-owner of L. D Barrett Drug Store, which she and her husband operated from 1925 to 1947. She also worked as bookkeeper for Cox and Glass Drug Store.
Survivors: sisters-in-law, Dawn Cavanaugh, Georgia Watts, Elizabeth Barrett and a number of nieces and nephews.
