IOWA PARK – Barbara Jean Cross Dodson, age 66, died Monday, March 21, 2011 in Wichita Falls, Texas.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, March 25, 2011 at Northside Baptist Church of Iowa Park with Rev. Earl Correl officiating. Burial will follow at Antelope Cemetery under the direction of Dutton Funeral Home.
Barbara was born August 15, 1944 in Yakima, Washington to Franklin and Marion (Schmidt) Cross. She and Jimmy Dodson were married July 28, 1961 in Antelope, Texas. She attended nursing school and worked for Bethania Hospital as an LVN and later worked for Arbor House as an LVN. She worked as an assistant manager for Allsup's Iowa Park office.
Her parents and a brother, James Cross, preceded her in death.
She is survived by her husband, Jimmy Dodson of Iowa Park, Texas; children, Cindy Corne and husband, Joe of Joshua, Texas, Marvin Dodson and wife, Kristi of Holliday, Texas, Jaima Sandoval and husband, Gabriel of Iowa Park, Texas; grandchildren, Laci Dodson, Aaron Corne, Josh Erickson, Abby Corne, Paige Dodson, Adam Corne, Avery Erickson and Landon Erickson; a great granddaughter, Kynlee Dodson; her dogs, Toby and Sherman; siblings, Marsha Eaton of Iowa Park, Texas and Lynn Little of Cleburne, Texas and several nieces and nephews.
