LaVerne John Funk,77, died Friday evening, Sept. 24, 1999, in his home following a sudden illness. Memorial services: 11 a.m. Monday, Leonard Funeral Home, by the Rev. Harold McMillin. Burial: Garnavillo City Cemetery. There will be no visitation.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Jane; two sons, Al Duane Funk of Prairie du Chien, Wis., and David Funk of Plano, Texas; a daughter, Karen Vaughan of Garnavillo; and a brother, Dwayne Funk of Garnavillo.
