Mary Buckner Goode, 83, of Second St., Caroleen, died Sunday, Oct. 9, 2005, at Autumn Care of Forest City.
A native of Rutherford County, she was a daughter of the late Elisha and Mattie Halford Buckner, and the widow of Walter Lee Goode. She was a retired textile employee and was a member of Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church, Caroleen.
She is survived by two daughters, Judy Burnett of Caroleen, and Alva Moore of Charlotte; one brother, Leo Buckner of Forest City; and four grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at Harriett Memorial Free Will Baptist Church with the Rev. Robert Harris officiating. The body will lie in state 30 minutes prior to the service. Burial will follow in the High Shoal Baptist Church cemetery. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 7 to 9 p.m. at Harrelson Funeral Home.
