William J. Agee applied for a Texas Confederate pension, which was dated Dated July 15, 1899, received by the Comptroller's office on December 8, 1899, and was approved on February 9, 1900. In his pension, he states his occupation as carpenter and that he has lived in Coleman County, Texas for nine years and been a resident of the state since 1869. He says he is crippled in his left arm. He enlisted in Co. F 43rd Tennessee Regt Vol Infty in March 1862 and served in same until the close of the war in 1865. The application is marked deceased, but has no indicattion of his death date. His birthday is given as August 12th.
As he was not shown on the 1900 Coleman County, Texas, I feel that he died before receiving the pension, probably in late 1899 or early 1900, as the census was taken on June 9, 1900.
