Services for Josephine E. Feaster, 93, Hillsdale, are 1:30 p.m. Friday at Hillsdale United Methodist Church, where she was a member. Burial is in Bethesda Cemetery, Hillsdale. Visitation is 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Gibson Funeral Home, Port Byron. Memorials may be made to the church. Mrs. Feaster died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 1994, at Hammond-Henry Hospital, Geneseo. The former Josephine Ropp was born May 17, 1901, in Tremont, 111., the daughter of Levi and Minnie Lantz Ropp. She married Howard "Pat" Feaster June 20, 1931, in Hillsdale. He died May 25, 1981. She was a high school teacher in the St. Louis area, and in the Port Byron and Hillsdale High Schools, retiring in 1970. She was a former officer in the church missionary society, a member of the United Methodist Women, Retired Teachers Association, Spanish Club, and had been active in the former Happy Mixers Singing Group, Port Byron. Survivors include a son, Lantz Feaster, Hillsdale; a granddaughter; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Eloise Boardman, Hillsdale; and a brother, Leslie Ropp, Peoria.
