Actor. Born in England, he began his long career in show business making his professional debut in 1934, on Broadway in "Aureng-Zebe" followed by "Monserrat" and "The Waltz of the Toreadors". He made his film debut in "Mademoiselle Docteur" (1937) and went on to act in scores of films to include "Mission to Moscow", "Jane Eyre", "A Thousand and One Nights", "Humoresque" and "The Greatest Story Ever Told". For television he appeared in series such as "Gunsmoke", "Bonanza", "Perry Mason" and "Lost In Space". He died in Los Angeles, California, at age 90.
