Services for Anita Morgan Askew, age 87, of Dublin will be held on Wednesday, March 23, 2011 at 2:00PM in the Chapel of Townsend Brothers Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Dublin Memorial Gardens. Bro. Danny Duggar and Franz Bruckmair will officiate. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 12:30pm until funeral hour.
Mrs. Askew was a lifelong resident of Dublin and a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was a bookkeeper for many years at Dunn's Department Store. After retiring, she enjoyed sewing, cooking for family and friends, gardening and spending time with her grandkids. Mrs. Askew was the daughter of the late David Morgan and Kate Veal Morgan. She was preceded in death by her husband, Wilburn A. Askew, and a brother, Gresham Morgan. Mrs. Askew passed away March 21, 2011.
Survivors include three sons, Richard (Pat) Askew of Athens, Steve (Lash) Askew of Vidalia and Jeffrey (Pat) Askew of East Dublin; two daughters, Kathy (Franz) Bruckmair of Dublin and Susan (Louie) Crabb of East Dublin; two sisters, Jackie (Frank) Davis and Leneta Best both of Dublin; seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren, four great-great-grandchildren and four nephews.
