Victor Henry Adams "Vic" Our beloved husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather passed away April 9th , 2010 after suffering a long illness. A true fighter to the very end, Vic never gave up. He inspired us all with his optimism, courage and love of family. He was the patriarch over a loving family. Vic was born August 21, 1928 to Victor C. and Vilma Adams in Hillsboro, Oregon. Moved to Nebraska where he grew up along the Missouri River before moving to Huntsville, Utah and later to Centerville, Utah. He graduated from Davis High School as a "Davis Dart". He married his wife of 58 years on May 10, 1951. His career of choice was installing floor covering, but he had a love for building anything large or small. He served in the United States Navy from November 11, 1947 to November 10, 1952. Later joined the Navy Seabee Reserve until retirement on August 21, 1988. He had a passion for the military and a love of country. He was a charter member of the Bountiful Elks Club. Survived by his wife, Afton; two brothers, Alvin M. (Marie), Alan Adams; sister Linda Esplin (Roe); sister-in-law, Johanna Adams; their seven children and spouses: Victor M. (Carolanne), Ed Adams (Risë), Patricia Cozzens, Glen Adams, Paul Adams (Paige), Bona Rowsell (Randy), Claudia Taylor (Bob); and their 19 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by both parents, two brothers, David M. Adams, Danny J. Adams, and sister-in-law, Carmen Adams. The family would like to thank the wonderful people at the South Davis Community Hospital and Lakeview Hospital for their outstanding care and compassion toward our patriarch and his family. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Wednesday, April 14, 2010 at Russon Brothers Bountiful Mortuary, 295 North Main, where a visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. and Wednesday one hour prior to services.
