James A. Berg, 59, of Decatur died 3:28 p.m. Saturday (June 29, 1996) in rural Warrensburg.
Burial will be in Mount Gilead Cemetery.
Mr. Berg was born in Decatur on March 18, 1937, the son of Roy and Floy M. Locke Berg. He was the operator of his own water conditioning business. He married Phyllis L. Gass on Sept. 26, 1954, in Decatur.
Surviving are his wife, Phyllis L. of Decatur; children, Joseph A. and wife Renee D. of Decatur; Brenda K. and husband James G. of Bourbonnais; James R. of Decatur; brother, Floyd L. ``Lonnie'' of Decatur; sister, Darlene and husband Fred of Decatur; seven grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and five brothers.
