FUNERAL OF ALBERT BRAATZ MONDAY.

Funeral services for Albert Braatz, 79, were held Monday afternoon at the home and at St. Martin's Luth. church at Belle Plaine at 2:00. Interment was made in the church cemetery at Belle Plaine. Mr. Braatz passed away at his home in Belle Plaine on Friday afternoon at 4:00 after an illness of 2 weeks. He had been failing in health for the past 3 years. Albert Braatz was born on June 19, 1857 in Dannenberg, Pommerania, Germany, and lived there from 1857 to 1883 when he came to this country at the age of 26. He was united to Miss Emilie Schulz at Clintonville on June 28, 1885, and they resided there from 1885 to 1903. In 1903 they moved to Belle Plaine where Mr. Braatz lived until the time of his death. His occupation was farming and he was a member of St. Martin's Luth. church at Belle Plaine. Surviving are his widow, 2 daughters, Mathilde, now Mrs. Paul Beversdorf of Belle Plaine, Mrs. Emilie Behling of town Larrabee; 4 sons, William, George, Paul and Arthur all of Belle Plaine; 17 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
