JoAnne Bowman Berglind, 60, Neosho, died Sunday, May 18, 2003, at her home in Neosho, following a sudden illness.
Mrs. Berglind was born Jan. 12, 1943, in Neosho, the daughter of Dr. Melvin C. Bowman and Virginia (Halley) Bowman.
She graduated from Neosho High School in 1961, attended Stephens College for two years, graduated from the University of Arkansas with a degree in education and recieved a Masters degree in education from the University of Arizona. She lived in Arizona for thirty years and returned to Neosho in 1997. She was teaching in the Neosho Public School System and was a member of the Pi Beta Phi Sorority at Fayetteville, Ark.
She is survived by her son, Greg Berglind and his wife, Melissa, of Scottsdale, Ariz., a grandson, Caden Berglind, one sister, Patrica Bowman-DuVal, Tucson, Ariz. and a niece, Allyson DuVal-Kilpa, Fremont, Calif.
Services will be Saturday at 10 a.m. at the Clark Funeral Home Chapel of Memories, with the Rev. Tom Thorne officiating. Burial will be in the Neosho IOOF Cemetery and pallbearers will be Dr. Calvin, Lentz, Bob Rader, Noland Shorter, Jack Wininger, Robert Carter and Lonnie Bassett.
Arrangements under the direction of Clark Funeral Home, Neosho.
