Mr. Anderson was born on a farm near Troy on December 17, 1853. He was educated in the Troy schools. He was married to Jerusia Smart on December 25, 1876. Mr. Anderson was a member of the Troy Baptist church.
Besides his widow he is survived by eight children: Laura Anderson, Troy; Clarence Anderson, St. Jacob; Mrs. E .P. [(Sally)] Sussong, St. Jacob; Lester Anderson, Washington, Ia.; Mrs. Joseph [(Georgia)] Schwehr and Loren Anderson, Granite City; Robert Anderson, Litchfield; Mrs. Nola Stock, Troy, and a brother, A. L. Anderson; Beheavia, Ia. There are also nineteen grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon [Mar. 17] at 3 o’clock at the residence thence to Hagler cemetery for interment.
