Folk singer and composer. Born Rodolfo Gimenez, he during his long career he composed over 300 songs, including : "Zamba para decir adiós", su primer gran éxito, "Mire qué lindo es mi país paisano", "Mirá, lo que son las cosas", "Pero el poncho no aparece", and "Me preguntan cómo ando". He received several awards: "Palma de Plata ", "Gardel de Oro" and others. He appeared before audiences in different countries such as Uruguay, Brazil, Spain, United States, Panama, Costa Rica and Japan.
The mortal remains of Argentino Luna were transferred to the Historical Museum of Tuyú, General Madariaga, Province of Buenos Aires and exhibited together with the urn that keeps the remains of his wife.
