An obituary furnished by her friend, Deron Lane...

"Lola Ann Lowe became a loving part of our life on January 10, 1948. She will be sorely missed by her Family and Friends.

Lola was a Peace Officer for Los Angeles County as a Deputy Sheriff for 31 years from 1972 to 2003. Her last unit of duty was out of Temple Station near Los Angeles, CA, then served as a Reserve Deputy Sheriff at Temple Station and at San Dimas Station from her retirement until her passing from Cancer on Christmas Eve, December 24, 2010 at the age of 62.

Never one to let the dust settle on her feet – Lola was active in The Rising Stars – A therapeutic horseback riding organization for the disabled as a volunteer. Lola's passion for Local History lead her to the Chaffey Communities Cultural Center/Cooper Regional History Museum where she served as a Board Member for many years. Lola's passion for people's personal history made her an avid Genealogist and her giving spirit as a volunteer inspired the people around her.

A "Celebration of her life" is planned for Saturday – February 12, 2011 at 11:00am. St. Mark's Episcopal Church: A Community of Grace 330 E. 16th St. Upland, CA 91784.

Instead of flowers, Lola would have wanted you to donate your time, money and effort to a charity of you choosing.
