Cedar Bluff – Arlon R Fulgham, 64,of Cedar Bluff passed away on Monday, June 9, 1997 at his residence.

Funeral services were held on Wednesday, June 11 at Calvert Funeral Home Chapel in West Point with Rev. Sammy Burns officiating. Burial followed at Memorial Garden Cemetery.

Fulgham was a native of West Point and was a member of First Baptist Church but attended Cedar Bluff Baptist Church. He was a retired maintenance employee from the West Point Public School System, where he worked for 25 years. A veteran of the U S Army, Fulgham was married to Emmie Adcock Moore, his wife of 17 years.

He is survived by his wife, Emmie Fulgham; one son, Richard; two daughters, Sheila Walker and Tammy Hayes, all of Cedar Bluff; his parents, Curtis Floyd and Erma Edwards Fulgham of West Point; two sisters, Freda F Thomas of Columbus and Joyce Spangler of West Point; three brothers, Floyd E Fulgham, Curtis Fulgham, both of West Point and John Fulgham of Columbus.

Pallbearers included Elbert A Smith, C M Miller, Doug Jolly, Robert Bagwell, Jack Hardin and Larry Hamburg. Honorary pallbearers included Russell Florreich, D A "Shot" Whitt, Bud Riley, Herman Shirley, Dr. Donald Miller, Dr. Urist, Dr. R T Lott, Dr T N Braddock, Baptist Memorial Hospice Nurses, members of Big Buck and the Barton Ferry Hunting Clubs.
