Born November 9, 1937 in Miami, Florida. She was the daughter of the late Glenn Rockwell and Mary Thompson Rockwell.
Marilyn attended the First Presbyterian Church and was a member of the Great Banquet Community. As a child, she frequently entertained the troops of W.W. II that were stationed in south Florida as part of a USO troop. As an adult living in Peoria, Illinois, she continued her singing talent in many community wide charity variety shows.
Surviving are her children, Debra McCracken of Madisonville, Diana Garms of Columbus, Georgia and Russell Gleason of Little Rock, Arkansas; two sisters, Nancy AuCoin of Hialeah, Florida and Linda Hartman of Lake Placid, Florida; one brother, James Rockwell of St. Petersburg, Florida; four granddaughters, Melissa Wilson and Michelle Ralph both of Henderson, KY, Jamie Lutz of Manitou, KY and Candice Gleason of Little Rock; seven great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
A private family memorial was held Sunday, February 25, 2007, at her request.
