Civil War-New York State Volunteers--189th- Company C--Enlisted at Bath age 26 to serve one year 8/31/1864. Mustered in as Private 10/2/1864. Mustered out with company 5/30/1865 near Washington, DC.---Roster NYS Adjutant General Office--

The death of George T Daniels occurred at 8:00 o'clock last night at his home on Rumsey Street, from Bright's disease, following a long illness. Mr. Daniels was born in the state of Vermont 73 years ago, the son of Sylvenus Daniels, who removed to Castile and later to Bath when the deceased was a young boy. His life had since been spent in this town, where he was well known as a progressive and successful farmer. On account of failing health he removed only a few weeks ago from his farm in Knight Settlement to the house on Rumsey street.
Mr. Daniels is survived by his wife, who was a Miss Kellogg, of Elmira, to whom he was married 44 years ago. He also leaves the following children: Henry T., Guy, Earl and Mrs. James Thomas, of Bath; Melvin, of Auburn. One brother, Norman H. Daniels and a sister, Mrs. M. H. Gillett, also survive. Mr. Daniels was an attendant of the Baptist church and was respected and esteemed by all his acquaintances. The funeral will be held at this house, Friday morning at 11 o'clock, Rev. T. W Carter, officiating. Burial in Nondaga cemetery.
