Virginia Mae Eyster


Graveside services for Virginia Eyster, 84, of Marble Falls will be held at
2 p.m. Friday, March 26, at the Marble Falls City Cemetery. Eyster passed
away Saturday afternoon March 20 at her son's residence in Austin. Born
Virginia Mae Rhoads on June 10, 1925 in Guymon, Okla. to James William and
Adda Bethel Rhoads, she was the youngest of nine children. She was a member
of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and the Howdy Roo Chili Pod. Virginia was
preceded in death by her husband James F. (Frosty) Eyster in 2002, and is
survived by her son Richard Lee Eyster and wife Mary of Austin; grandsons,
Darrell Wright and fiancé Caddie of Dallas, and David Wright of Austin; and
numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends. The family would like to thank
the staff at Texas Oncology, Dr. Beth Hellerstadt, Lisa Painter, Dr. Fotini
Chalkias, Dr. Paul Wolf and the many friends who helped her, and also
extends their thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Hospice Austin. The
family requests that memorials be made in her name to The American Cancer
Society, P.O. Box 22718, Oklahoma City, OK 73123-1718, or to your favorite charity.
