Mrs. Mary B. Allemong, 63 years and 22 days, died Friday night, January 16, at 10:35 in City Hospital, Martinsburg, where she had been a patient since Sunday, January 11. She had been ill more than two years and had been a hospital patient on several occasions.

She was a daughter of the late William and Sarah Ambrose of this county and had lived all of her life here.

Surviving are her husband, Circuit Clerk Geo. H. Allemong, two daughters, Mrs. Harry Bishop and Mrs. Leslie Michael of this place, one sister, Mrs. Lorena Hovermale of Big Pool, MD, and five grandchildren.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the United Brethren Church of which denomination she had been a life-long member, with the Revs. E. C. Day, J. R. Collis of Martinsburg and F. G. Senger officiating. Interment was in Greenway Cemetery.

Bearers, all nephews of the deceased were William, Theodore, Charles and Raymond Hovermale, of Big Pool, MD, Robert and Guy Spriggs, of this place. Flower girls were all relatives of the deceased.

Those from a distance to attend the funeral were Judge D. H. Rodgers, Mrs. J. R. Collis, Martinsburg; Attorney L. E. Johnson, Fairmont; Mrs. Daniel Martin, Williamsport, MD; Mr. and Mrs. Troy Puffinburger and daughter, Little Orleans, MD; Mrs. J. R. Otto and sons Freddie and Teddy, Sharpsburg, MD; Mrs. June Hovermale and Mrs. Pearl Hovermale, Big Pool, MD.
