Born Nov. 3, 1928, in the Antiquity community of Meigs County, Ohio, he was the son of the late Jack H. and Pearl Grace Weaver Adams. He was a retired coal miner and farmer and was a member of the Racine First Baptist Church.
Surviving is his wife, Carolyn Diddle Adams, whom he married July 13, 1946, in Syracuse, Ohio; his daughter, Sandra (Charlie) Cobb, Point Pleasant; his granddaughter, Heidi Beegle, Point Pleasant; sisters-in-law, Marilyn Powell, Racine, Libby Fisher, Racine, Betty Diddle, Auxier, Ky., and Vicki Diddle, Gallipolis, Ohio; brothers-in-law, Bernard (Opal) Diddle, Marietta, Tom (Pam) Diddle, Racine, Don (Carol) Diddle, Pomeroy, Ohio, and Arthur Dials, Norwalk, Ohio; two special nephews, Ralph (Leslie) Fisher and Damon (Joni) Fisher, all of Racine; and numerous other nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother and sister-in-law, Bobby Joe and Betty Adams; brothers-in-law, Robert Fisher, Jerry Powell, Wade Diddle, Ralph Diddle; and a sister-in-law, Adria Dials.
Funeral services will be at noon on Wednesday, March 18, 2009, in the Cremeens Funeral Home, Racine. Officiating will be Pastor Ryan Eaton. Interment will be in the Letart Falls Cemetery. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home on Tuesday.
