Mrs. C. H. Allender Funeral Tuesday
Funeral services for Mrs. C. H. Allender, mother of Mrs. J. A. Kauffman, who passed away at her home northwest of Mt. Pleasant Saturday morning were held at the Richwoods Church Tuesday afternoon at 2:00 and were in charge of Simon Gingerich. A mixed quartet sang. The pallbearers were six neighbors of the deceased. Burial was made at the Richwoods cemetery.
OBITUARY
Mrs. Adeline Ford Allender, the daughter of John Wesley Ford and Dorcas Guyton Ford, was born in Henry County, Iowa in the Richwoods vicinity July 23, 1856 and passed away at her home northwest of Mt. Pleasant Sunday morning, April 8, 1934. She was at the time of her death 77 years, 8 months and 16 days of age.
She was united in marriage to Charles Allender March 23, 1876 and to this union were born four daughters, one daughter, Marguerite, having preceded her in death in infancy. She and her surviving husband have lived in the same vicinity most of their entire life.
She was baptized when a small child and was of a true Christian nature, always loving and kind, a good wife and mother, always thoughtful of others, and will be missed among her many friends.
She leaves to mourn their loss her deeply bereft husband, three daughters, Mrs. Elsie Heater of Lockridge, Mrs. Alice Kauffman of Wayland, and Mrs. Martha England of Bloomfield, Iowa and also five grandchildren and one great grandchild.
