Irene G. (Simms) Baker, 95, of Warren passed away Monday morning, March 14, 2011 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital.
Born June 5, 1915 in Cameron, WV, she was the daughter of Joseph H. and Margaret (Yoder) Simms.
Irene worked during the war for Sunlight Co. and Liberty Steel. She later became a sales representative for Stanley Home Product and also for Avon. She was a dedicated member of the Cortland Nazarene Church.
She is survived by two grandchildren, several great grandchildren and by her brothers and sisters-in-law, Kenneth Baker of Beaver Falls, PA, James and Jenelyn Baker of Champion and Inez Phillips of Waynesburg, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Vincent Baker whom she married June 20, 1936; two sons Dale E. and Russell E. Baker; by her parents and siblings, five sisters, Edna, Theo, Hilda, Iva and Maxine and by a brother Emmett Baker.
Family and friends will be received Wednesday evening from 6 until 8 a.m. at Roberts-Clark Funeral Chapel. The Rev. Fred Blauser will conduct a funeral service Thursday morning, March 17, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Crown Hill Burial Park.
