Antoinette "Toni" (Bianchi) Saule, 98 years young, of Solvay, passed away on Monday, July 14, 2014 in Wheeling, IL. Antoinette was born on February 29, 1916, to the late Peter and Mary (Andiano) Bianchi. One of seven girls, Antoinette was a graduate of Vocational High School in Syracuse. She retired after many years with General Electric in the heavy military department. Married on October 9, 1937, for 55 years to the love of her life, Anthony "Sugar" Saule, she was a kind and selfless wife, mother, grandmother and friend who was so busy helping others she never let any grass grow under her feet. She was a 50 years plus member of the Solvay Tigers Auxiliary, communicant of St. Cecilia Church and it's Altar & Rosary Society, member of Solvay Seniors, bowled in many Solvay ladies leagues, and was inducted in the 600 Club. Antoinette was a sports enthusiast and a big fan of Syracuse University football and basketball. She especially enjoyed tailgating with family members before games. Antoinette loved spending time with family every chance she got. She was predeceased by her husband Anthony in 1993; sisters, Isabel (John) Sanzo, Amelia (Armand) Valentino, Josephine (Jack) Caligiovanni, Rose Bianchi, Dora (Charles) Jordan, and Jennie (Tony) Fall. Antoinette is survived by her two children, Peter (Annette) Saule of Liverpool and Jean (Edward) Case of Buffalo Grove, Illinois; two grandchildren, Matthew (Kathy) Case and Jennifer (Tim) Frazee, and several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 8:45 a.m. Saturday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 a.m. at St. Cecilia Church, Solvay, where a funeral Mass will be celebrated. The Rite of Interment and burial will follow in Assumption Cemetery, Syracuse. Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at BAGOZZI TWINS FUNERAL HOME, 2601 Milton Ave, Solvay. Contributions may be made in her name to the Solvay Tigers AC or St. Cecilia Church.
