The 1919 wedding of Catherine E. Mallinger to Adolph N. Schanen. Adolph was the younger of the sons of Jacob Schanen and Anna Antoine, and 2nd wife who raised him: MaryAnn Prom, the sister of Anna Prom (Mrs. John Mallinger). Catherine was the daughter of John Mallinger, Architect, and Anna Prom. Both Anna Prom and MaryAnn Prom were two of the daughters of Mathias Prom (as was Katherine, "Ket" or "Katie" Prom). Mathias Prom, in turn was one of the sons of Etienne Prom. Note: Etienne moved on to the Manitowoc area with his eldest son, Nicholas Prom prior to 1860. Also note: Etienne was the half-brother of Heinrich/Henrich Prom who was married to Susannah Neuhengen. The connections between the "two Prom families of Ozaukee County" could not be made until the ship manifest and other European data became known in the late 1990's.
