He had five half brothers Alvin, Jess, Earnest, Ed, and Prentice. He was a middle child who always felt he wanted to be older and had to compete for attention because he was never big enough.
When he was older he joined the draft in Bend, Oregon with his younger brother Prentice.
He married Daisy Mae Barker in 1938 and they had one son named Joey. They divorced and in 1945 he married Inez Whitacre.
He started working on the railroads as a brakeman and later became an engineer.
Inez and Fred lived in Los Angeles for 20 years. They moved to Las Vegas in the late 1960's and he retired from the Union Pacific Railroad.
They bought a house and moved out to Sun City in 1992. During this time is when Uncle Fred gave me his family photos and documents so I could begin my research into family genealogy.
