Rachel (Michael) Brooke was the daughter of William and Rachel (Brain) Michael. In 1829 she married Allen Duckett Brooke and from that union were born seven children: Priscilla M. Hess/Wilson/McClain, Elizabeth A. Pilmore, Louisa Davis, Martha, Thomas Hudson, Arvilla Jone Shaw/Abernethy, and Rachel Ann Michael [Note: Allen & Rachel Brooke's daughter, Rachel Ann Brooke, married her 1st cousin William G. Michael, son of her maternal uncle William G. Michael and his wife Mary 'Sarah' (Forsythe) Michael].
