MT. VERNON — Wilhelemine Beal, 91, of Mt. Vernon, passed away at 12:50 a.m. Thursday, March 10, 2011, at Mt. Vernon Health Care Center.
She was born on December 11, 1919, in Marion County, the daughter of George and Dora Brasel Correll. On Oct. 8, 1940, she married Mort Beal and he preceded her in death on Sept. 9, 2010.
She was a member of Boyd Christian Church.
Mrs. Beal is survived by two daughters, Elsie Braddy and husband Jack of Mt. Vernon and Trudy Hartley of Georgetown, Ky.; nine grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; two sisters, Norma Jean Barr and husband Bud of Mt. Vernon, and Alta Tinsley of Mt. Vernon; a sister-in-law, Lillie Arnett of Texico; a brother in law, Jim Beal and wife Jean of Mt. Vernon; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a grandson, Darrell, and a sister, Opal Payne.
Funeral services will be Sunday at 2 p.m. at Osborn Funeral Home in Dix. Burial will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
