Mr. Hagan served as Statesboro's fire chief for many years. He was a merchant for 36 years. He was a member of the Baptist Church, a past patron of the Eastern Star, a member of Ogeechee Masonic Lodge, and the Shrine.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Eva Mae Brundage Hagan; two daughters, Miss Fay Hagan and Mrs. Levin Metts, both of Statesboro; one son, T.L. Hagan, Statesboro; four grandchildren; his father, T. Josh Hagan, Statesboro; one brother, Edgar Hagan, Statesboro.
Barnes Funeral Home was in charge.
