Harvey Sawtelle, formerly of 848 17th St., died at 10:15 p.m. yesterday in the Hollidaysburg State Hospital, after an extended illness.
He was born in Phillipsburg Dec. 6, 1893, a son of John and Minnie(Clayton)Sawtelle. Surviving are four brothers and sisters, Charles W. of Barnesboro, Fred of Phillipsburg, Mrs. Pearl Bittner of Latrobe and Mrs. Robert Ross of Pittsburgh. He was of the Methodist faith.
He was a veteran of Army service in World War I.
Known to friends as "Bob". Mr. Sawtelle retired in 1944 as a blacksmith for the PRR.
Friends will be received in the Scaglione Funeral Home form 7 to 9 p.m. today, 2 to 4 adn 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow.

SAWTELLE - Services for Harvey "Bob" Sawtelle will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Scaglione Funeral Home by the Rev. Peter Pfeiffer, Interment in Carson Valley Cemetery. Friends will be received in the funeral home from 7 to 9 p.m. today, 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday.
