Carla Louise (Luce) Helms, 52, of Mayflower, departed this life on Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at her home.
She was born June 22, 1958, in Milwaukee, Wis.
Her father, Carlton Walker Luce; and a baby sister, Angelique Luce, both preceded her in death.
She was a Certified Nurse's Assistant, and had worked for Conway Regional Health System, as well as all of the nursing homes in Conway. She loved her job very much. Mrs. Helms had also sold Avon. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Conway. Carla loved animals and fishing.
She is survived by her husband of 28 years, Dennis Alan Helms of Mayflower; her mother, Mary (Karber) Luce of Greenbrier; a sister, Janet Benge and husband Richard of Morrilton; brothers, Terry Gene Luce of Conway and Anthony Luce and wife Diane of Greenbrier; as well as a number of nephews, nieces and great-nephews and great-nieces.
A memorial service celebrating Carla's life will be 11 a.m. Saturday at Pleasant Grove Baptist Church in Conway, with Bros. John Greer and Richard Matthews officiating.
