The preponderance of evidence is that Jemima was buried in Haverhill however there is no record. But when you review the facts it is near certain that she is buried in the Pentucket Cemetery Haverhill MA.

Per Haverhill VRs Abraham Rideout married Jemima Davis on 14 Mar 1714 in Haverhill. Jemima's family had lived in Haverhill for generations and her G grandfather was one of its founders. When Abraham died in about 1724 it would have been up to Jemima as to where he was buried and the family cemetery was the Pentucket. Then 13 years later when Abrahams son Benjamin died she buried him in Pentucket and the stone is still visible..

Jemima then married Dr. James Holgate and they had six children four died from the throat distemper plague that hit Haverhill in 1737 and all are buried at Pentucket Cemetery and their tombstones are also visible. Tombstones for Abraham, Jemima and Dr. Holgate have never been found but it would be unthinkable that Jemima Abraham and Dr Holgate were not buried with their children in the family plot. It is likely that their stones being taller fell over as many others have in that cemetery and are now a few inches below ground level.
