Mrs. Laura Emma Finney

Daughter of James and Ann Allison, was born at Welcome, Ohio, March 29, 1857 and passed from this life January 13, 1923 at the age of 65 years, nine months and 14 days, after an illness of a year and a half. She gave her heart to the Lord in early life and was baptised into the Christian church by Rev. Van Voorhes. She was a faithful member and a life member of the Missionary Society. She was united in marriage with Albert Finney in the year 1882, who preceded her in death several years. She is survived by one brother, D. E. Allison, of Monroe township and three sisters, Mrs. M. G. Bird, of Monroe township, Mrs. A. M. Shrimplin, of Loudonville, and Mrs. Virgil Cline, of Angola, Indiana, and many other relatives and friends who mourn her departure. Funeral services were conducted by the Rev. F. M. Eby at the home of her brother, D. E. Allison, on Tuesday, January 15. Burial at Welcome Cemetery.
