CHARLES OTIS BROWN, 84, of Huntington, W.Va., died Thursday, November 8, 2007, at the Emogene Dolin Jones Hospice House of Huntington. Funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, November 10, 2007, at Trinity Church of God with Pastor Ken Toler officiating. Burial will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery, Huntington. He was born April 28, 1923, in Huntington, a son of the late Omar Ott and Lillian Mae Brown. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Frieda Estelle Brown; two brothers, Robert M. Brown and Gary Lee Brown; and one sister, Evelyn Guthrie. He was a member of Trinity Church of God. He is survived by his wife, Goldie Cremeans Brown; two sons, Charles R. Brown and his wife Joanna and Chris A. Brown; one sister, Mary Scruggs; two brothers, Donald F. Brown and his wife Polly, and Bruce A. Brown; four grandchildren, Steven and Timothy Brown, Debra Wildi and Kristen Brown; four great-grandchildren, Trevor, Allison, Abigail and Matthew; and special friend Amy Brown. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church on Saturday. Beard Mortuary, Huntington, is in charge of arrangements. The family would like to express special thanks to Dr. Shawn Coffman of HIMG, the doctors, nurses and staff of Hospice House for their loving care of Charles.
