Annie was the third child of William York Kester (1832-1897) and Eliza (Buckius) Kester (1835-1890).
She married Eli Reed Brown on September 9, 1880 in Bloomsberg, Columbia County PA. They were the parents of three children: Maude (Brown) Lucas (1881-1949), Paul V.Brown (1884-1964), and Claude
D. Brown (1887-1928).
"Mrs. Annie Brown, 67 died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Henry Fetters, two miles west of
East Sparta, Monday. Besides her daughter, Mrs. Brown is survived by one son, Paul Brown, of New York; three sisters; two brothers, eight grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o'clock at the home of the daughter, with Rev. P. H. Welshimer of the First Christian Church, Canton, officiating. Burial will be
made in East Sparta Cemetery, East Sparta, Ohio."
