DANNY ROGER ADKINS, 65, of Hamlin, WV, passed away Wednesday, March 2, 2011, at Cornerstone Hospital, Huntington, WV. He was born May 19, 1945, a son of the late Kelly and Ida Mae Holton Adkins. Danny was retired from Hobet Mining. He is survived by his wife Sylvia, with whom he was married 47 years. They have two children, Rodney Adkins and Paula (Scott) Coleman. He has two grandchildren who were the joy of his life, Loral Johnson and Little Scott Coleman; brother David Adkins of High Point, NC, and is loved by a multitude of family and friends. Funeral service will be 2 pm. Sunday, March 6, 2011, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV, with Rev. Milo Cummings officiating. Burial will follow at Lincoln Memorial Park, Hamlin, WV. Visitation will be 6 to 8 pm. Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Koontz Funeral Home, Hamlin, WV.
