Francis ''Frank'' E. Rock, 77, Olathe, KS, died Saturday, April 18, 1998, at the home. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, April 22, at Highland Park Funeral Home; burial in Highland Park Cemetery. Friends may call 6-8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home. The family suggests contributions to Stephen's United Methodist Church Building Fund.

Mr. Rock was born in the Armourdale district of Kansas City, KS, and lived there until the 1951 flood. He lived in Kansas City, KS, until 1981, when he moved to Olathe. He was employed by Armour & Company as a refrigeration mechanic in the automotive division for 17 years, until the company closed in 1965. He then worked for Safeway/Food Barn stores for 16 years, retiring in 1981. He served in the 15th U.S. Army Air Corps in Europe during WWII. He was a member of Stephen's United Methodist Church and the Machinist Union. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Beulah C. Rock, of the home; three sons and daughters-in-law, Frank E. Rock Jr., Charles L. Rock, and Stephen L. Rock; one brother, Charles L. Rock; eight grandchildren; and many loved and close relatives and friends.
