David Franklin Anderson, 74, of Moultrie, died Saturday, March 5, 2011, at Colquitt Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services were at 11 a.m. Monday, March 7, at Cobb Funeral Chapel, with the Rev. Ron Shiver officiating. Interment, with full military honors, followed in Cobb Suncrest Memorial Gardens.

The U.S. Air Force Honor Guard will serve as casketbearers.

Born May 6, 1936, in Cartersville, Ga., he was the son of the late George Anderson and Lucy Crowe Anderson. He served in the U.S. Air Force for over 20 years, retiring as a technical sergeant. His military career included three tours of duty in Vietnam. He was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by one brother, George Anderson.

Survivors include his wife, Flora Mae Huckeba Anderson of Moultrie; one son, Michael Anderson and wife Dawn of Cartersville, Ga.; four daughters, Angela West and husband James and Pamela Collins and husband Wayne, all of Cartersville, Donna Ford and husband Charles of Moultrie and Dianna Johnson and husband Gerald of Carrollton, Ga.; one brother, Dan Anderson and wife Carol of Montgomery, Ala.; seven grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
