Second of five children of Charles Clifford and Sarah Catherine Snelling Martin, Daisy was a talented pianist who played professionally for radio and for silent movies.

She was also organist/pianist at Leech Chapel United Methodist church in Golden Gate where she was a faithful member.

She married widower Frank Moore on 4 Jun 1960. He died 1969. After Frank's death she shared the house and garden with her bachelor brother, Lawrence, who ferried her to many doctors and treatments, caring for her severe respiratory complications.
